The week of rest... So far

Woah, guys! Stephanie and Perrin sent out this link to everyone and then they immediately took a one week break, fracturing their chance of a steady readership by discouraging revisits when no new posts appear. Has anything even happened this week?

Friday: rest
Sat: 10km Camp Pendleton Mud Run: largely a civilian spectacle, but still pretty fun
Sun: rest
Monn: Steph and Pear run Brown mountain (7.6 mi total; 2.2 of it uphill???) in 86 minutes, which isn't bad.
Tues: Steph runs chantry (5 mi) with Clara while Pear recovers and stretches on a 4 mi Lacey long way.
Wed: S+P hike Mount Gorgonio, the tallest one in SoCal. Gain of 5.5km over 8.7 mi uphill to a peak of 11km or so, then back down. 5 hrs up, 1 hr lunch break, 4 hrs down. 10 hrs total vs 12 hours estimated to complete the trail. Chipmunks at top were audacious and ravenous, one making off with an entire half of a pita pocket. We were practically swarmed by these pirates! Dinner with Anton. A wager is made between Steph and pear: if one breaks 30 sec in the 200m on fri morn, the other will by lunch at Ernie's for them. WOAH!!!!!

UPDATE:
Thurs was a day of rest, and of tight calves.
Friday being graduation, the 200m race was called off; the wager delayed; and lots of happy graduates were met with over many meals and celebrations.
Sat: P ran huntington (5? mi) to loosen up, with lots of stretching, and some abs. 2 sets of Hindu pushups. Make Music Pasadena happened, and P got a date for it, which was pretty fun. At evening it was time to take trains to Palmdale, where we will resume our route and head north.
